Did you know?→

A few days ago I shared a video of population growth. This one has some similarities but goes much broader in cataloging changes that are happening.

Did you know?

Particularly striking to me is the application to education. How do you teach students for a world that doesn’t exist yet and is changing faster than ever? How do you prepare them for jobs that don’t exist yet? What would you focus on? What would you hope every student was taught?

  1. You teach them timeless things: critical thinking, creative expression, the joys of effective collaborations. You teach them to think and to have integrity in their daily lives: then they can handle anything.

    Thanks for the thoughtful post!

    1. Those are some of the same things I was thinking. It puts a major burden on educators to be more intentional in their teaching. I saw something else just recently about a mentor-ship program to help kids connect what they are learning in school to jobs in the real world. A huge connection that I think is too often missed.

      Thanks for the comment!
